A street exhibition featuring some very creative and amusing artwork!

We love this street exhibition currently showing on Skólavörðustígur high street, the one leading up to Hallgrímskirkja church. Entitled Betri Reykjavik, which translates as ‘Better Reykjavík’, the exhibition features a number of fantastic drawings, painting and designs where Reykjavík has been reimagined with all sorts of amusing and tongue-in-cheek improvements. Created by talented artists from the HÓMÝ group, the exhibition was opened on Culture Night and is now showing on a set of outdoor easels which have been lining one side of the lower end of Skólavörðustígur Street for the past few years. The easels showcase a regular rotation of different art and photography, from the works of school children to well-known local photographers. Not sure how long they will be there, but in case you don’t get a chance to see them, we took some snapshots.
