The annual Winter Lights Festival was celebrated here in Reykjavík earlier this month with a number of fabulous illuminations and activities for everyone to enjoy. The event, which was opened by the Mayor of Reykjavík, Dagur Eggertsson, featured light installations galore, with most landmark buildings in the city illuminated for the duration. In addition to the illuminations, countless free cultural events were on offer with all the city’s museums and geothermal swimming pools taking part in the fun. In case you missed it, here are some of our favourite snapshots and highlights of the event. Enjoy!
