The annual Reykjavík Pride Parade made its way through the town centre yesterday bringing with it a procession of colourful folks all dressed up in a vibrant array of costumes. There was dancing, singing, brass bands and the occasional confetti gun launching swirling clouds of fluttering pink paper into the pretty blue sky. The sun was out in full force as were the locals who watched and waved as the spectacle went by.
Reykjavík Pride usually takes place on the second weekend of August every year; so, if you time your next visit to Iceland right you’ll be able to see for yourself how fabulous it is: you can even take part in the festivities yourself! In the meantime, here are some of our favourite snaps of all the razzamatazz!
